The Internet: The New Genie

Disney’s Aladdin was based off on an old Arabian folk tale, one that can be found in The Book Of One Thousand And One Nights; more commonly known as Arabian Nights. Disney altered the original story by a whole lot, to the effect that many conceptions about Aladdin and his affiliates were spawned, and believed, over the original aspects and concepts of the original story. But it sure is safer to think that a genie, who was once simply called a djinn or jinni, grants only three wishes, which would make anyone that found an actual genie think of his or her three wishes before wishing for them, whereas in the original version, Aladdin was allowed access to an unlimited number of wishes, and boy did he make a lot. In fact, the original Aladdin had two genies serving him, one from the infamous lamp, and one from a magic ring, of all things.

But one thing stands out about having the power to get nearly anything and everything one could and would ever want, hope to or not. That being that as Ben Parker, Spider-Man’s uncle, said “With great power comes great responsibility.” With the power to be granted a fulfilled wish in real life, there must be something exchanged for it, something of some value, like in some cases or most cases hard work. Cause and effect, and all that. Balance is what rules the universes, and it is this cosmic force that forces these equal or something like that exchanges to occur. To get their genies the original and Disney Aladdin had to do some measure of work to get their wish granting spirits.

Like these literary characters and their mythological djinn, regular people of this echnological age are able to gain the chance of being granted their own wishes, for a price that is. Wish and Vote, is a website that promotes the granting of wishes for a small fee, and a few words. The link to the site is www.wishandvote.com. Joining is simple, and the rewards are great, and the chances of getting a granted wish, of monetary value, is by the words used to formulate the wish. For a small fee, compared to the amount that one wishes to be won, ranging from $2.50 for $50, to $19.50 for $5000, one would only need to type what one would do with the money should he or she win. The contest, is won by voting, hence Wish and Vote. Make your wish and the other members of the site will vote on who will get his or her wish granted.

Its a very straightforward thing to do, chose how much one wants to receive, write down the wish using 150 characters or less, wait for people to vote, and win. Don’t forget to vote as well, as one is sure to be aware of karma.

For the relatively small fee of $2.50, should I win $50, the wish can be “I will buy a birthday present for my sister!” Simple, affordable, and no trecking, hiking, dodging traps, to do it too.

Come join the wishing fun at Wish and Vote, today!
